The Gabby Project

Gabby Vogel is gone. And there is nothing that can be done to bring her back. But the six year old who lost her battle to cancer still continues to make a difference here. Her story alone has touched so many lives, including mine. She has brought a new meaning to the word BELIEVE and a new prepective on life and our time here. And now her family has started a foundation, in her name, to try to help the race to find a cure.

I didn’t know this family before Gabby got sick (wish I did though), but after helping them out with Photography, I quickly became attached to this family. And after watching 30+ hours of their private home movies to create this video, I feel like I have known them all my life. So I want to help them.

So which brings me back to the fundraiser/contest. I want to raise money for Get Well Gabby and also raise awareness for Gabby’s Cause. Her family is trying to get 30,000 “likes” by Febuary 14th. So first and formost, I would like to spread the word, and asking for your help. And maybe try for it to go viral during the super bowl. (big dreams, I know).

I’m also selling these prints to help raise money for Gabby. They are from my recent trip to Paris. The pictures are from every arrondissements in Paris(something for everyone). All of the proceeds from this gallery will go to GET WELL GABBY Foundation.

Also here are the Rules to the contest to win some giveaways.

I never met the family but I can tell you they’ve made a big impact on my life. I think I’ve cried every single day since I first ‘LIKED’ the Get Well Gabby page. I can not even imagine what her family is going thru. I did not see the rules to the contest but wanted to fill in my info anyway.

I followed on facebook while Gabby went thru treatments, her parents poured their hearts out online, they cried, got angry, tried to understand and could not, then on September 11th 2011 I woke to see that she had lost her battle. I cried with my husband and daughter and still cry every time I watch “6 candles, no cake”. I could never begin to wrap my mind around this happening to my child and I feel for the family and other families fighting the same battles all over the world. I wish there was a magic ANYTHING that could bring her back or that would have kept her here with her family and all the people that followed with them thru this terrifying journey that played out for the world to see. I am proud of the Vogel family for bringing the plain ugly truth that is childhood cancer to the forefront of the people that were drawn into this little girl’s story. It takes a lot of courage to let the world in on a very private and torturing situation like they did and for that I commend them.
Furthering Get Well Gabby for OTHERS that are still suffering and fighting just to live is one of the most giving things they could have done. Having never met them I can honestly say that is most likely exactly what Gabby would have wanted, to keep helping others like her. So I am saying Get Well to Gabby’s FAMILY and to all of the other children and families they have highlighted on their page. I cannot offer much, but I can lend my support to them and hope that some day this wonderful family can be a family again and my hope is that they all realize how blessed they are that Gabby had THEM for those 6 years to carry her thru her journey.
Much Love to the Vogel family from the Cline family in Texas.
