Here is a little taste from the fall photography session I had last weekend in Royersford and Phoenixville PA. We had such great weather,and amazing families that traveled from all over the Philadelphia and Tri-State area to have me take photographs of their most valuable possessions. And for that, I’m honored.

There were a lot of smiles, and some tears, but I can safely say that we helped these families freeze time for at least that day and preserve some sweet moments forever.

We started early. We ended late. And afterwards everyone was exhausted, including myself.

Mini sessions push me. They push me to work on one of my weaknesses, which is interacting socially while I work. During a video shoot or a photography shoot my problem has never been  focusing on the work and creative side of the job. My weakness is in the managing of people and different personalities as I try to think and be creative on my feet.  It has been a very hard trick to master. And kids are the best subject to work with because they see through the BS. They don’t really speak it, and they don’t care to hear it. So you have to be on your toes and be mentally engaged with them for every second during the course of that shoot. And at the end of the day, I just need LARGE AMOUNTS OF VINO and my wife’s company because I’m mentally spent and just need to mumble to another adult.

So My plan going into the day was simple. After my session had finished I was going to eat take out sushi from Veekoo and I was going to drink a special bottle of red from Shalestone Winery  “to da head in my cozy bed.

I got this special wine during a trip with my wife to the finger lakes. I’ve been saving  it for that special accession for a while now ( two and half weeks). But when I got home, I was so tired. I only drank half a glass and only ate a few pieces of sushi.
