Contest Two: HALFTIME

THERE will be a photo folder on my facebook called HALFTIME. Pick the SUPER BOWL team that you believe will be leading the game at Halftime, include total point score by both teams by halftime. (IE.Patriots 26). The contestant with the right team and closest to the actual total score at halftime will win. In the case of  a tie, this will be decided by a random drawing between the contestants that tie.

Prize: $100 Gift Certificate to be used for any of my services. (must be redeemed by 4/1/12). And an 11 x 14 matted print  from the paris gallery.

Contest three: BELIEVE

There will be a folder called BELIEVE on my facebook page. Sign up under the photo in the comment area with the team that you BELIEVE will win the game and include your predicted total final score . (IE Giant 48). The person with the right team and closest total score will win. All ties will go to a drawing.

PRIZE: A Free Portrait Session/ with all the high Resolution photos on a disk with FULL printing rights. (must be redeemed by 4/1/12 and only up to 25 miles away). This prize can be transferred to someone else from the winner.

I didn’t know this family before Gabby got sick (wish I did though), but after helping them out with Photography, I quickly became attached to this family. And after watching 30+ hours of their private home movies to create this video, I feel like I have known them all my life. So I want to help them.

So which brings me back to the fundraiser/contest. I want to raise money for Get Well Gabby and also raise awareness for Gabby’s Cause. Her family is trying to get 30,000 “likes” by Febuary 14th. So first and formost, I would like to spread the word, and asking for your help. And maybe try for it to go viral during the super bowl. (big dreams, I know).

I’m also selling these prints to help raise money for Gabby. They are from my recent trip to Paris. The pictures are from every arrondissements in Paris(something for everyone). All of the proceeds from this gallery will go to GET WELL GABBY Foundation.

BELIEVE

A little girl died. She was almost six. And she died. There was nothing her parents or the doctors could do. They did everthing possible, the illness was too much. And now she’s gone. And their biggest is fear is; she will be forgotten.

So I did a canvas project with my Facebook friends. We will being giving the Vogels 7 canvases for their wall at home. I’m sure it means nothing right now with the pain they are feeling. But I hope the canvases will be charished years from now.

I also did avideo, to help people not forget this little angel. I pray for this family every night. In my opinion, there is nothing worse then to lose a child.

Gabby Vogel I won’t forget you. You changed my life and made me a better person.

chester county horse farm

I was hired by Dream Catcher Farm a horse farm in Chester Springs to help tell their visual story. They offer  Equine Assisted Learning Programs which are geared towards individuals with intellectual disabilities. I did a photo spread for them but also put together a short film that I’m really pretty proud of. You can view the film here.

In this day and age of weddings, it seems like bigger is better. The more money you spend, the more romantic and special the day becomes. I think that’s the wrong way to approach it. Weddings are just as special and as timeless with a little thought and creativity to make up for a smaller budget. So In late May when I photographed Tess and David wedding  I was so inspired on what they could with a small budget.

Both of them are super creative and were able to do every detail themselves. Tess is a graphics designer and has a jewelery business on the side. Check her business out here. David is an artist and jack of all trades in terms of building and creating with his hands.

60 mile an hour wind gusts ruined my video shoot with the Loves at the beach. But I did get a few pictures.  And it’s truly a reminder that every one’s prayers and financial support is the main reason that this day, and many, many,many, many,many, many, many, many, many,many, many,many, many, many more were possible.

So continue to pray. This boy has a lot of ‘livin’ left in him.

His back story is here

It was held at the Tendenza in Northern Liberties.

It had everything from a homeless guy crashing the ceremony to a beer run, and even a few of the guests were bartending by the end of the night. But the most memorable moment by far was the chant that didn’t leave my head for days. “Lee…Mcgee…Lee…McGee…Lee…Mcgee….it does have a ring to it. Here are some pictures here!

Long story short, and three accidents later on 76, I only got 25 minutes with him (and the other 14 people in the small hospital room). So it wasn’t the ideal situation for being creative. But I wanted to do the best I could for the LOVE’s.

A few of the pictures turned out. But wasn’t happy with the video I shot at all. So I just planned to give the footage to the Loves when they got home and never edit it into anything.

But then on Monday night I got a ton of Facebook inbox messages, from people I barely know or don’t know at all, saying “how inspired and amazed at what I was doing.” Which is weird, cause I don’t think our family is doing enough. But that was enough for me to push through being sick and tired to work on this. Because I know in my heart of hearts, if my wife and I were going through this, WE COULD NOT WORK.  Or get out of bed for that matter. Mike and Missy are so strong!

So that night after everyone went to bed I cut this video together in a few hours. Because It’s not about me, It’s about Trey.

The best part about this story is the end. Trey saw the video, and it made him happy. And me, well, it made me feel like I had purpose in life, even if for only a few moments.
