Trey First Day Out…
The weather is so unpredictable (more like meteorologist). But I have certainly known that for a long time. But this weekend was no exception.
60 mile an hour wind gusts ruined my video shoot with the Loves at the beach. But I did get a few pictures. And it’s truly a reminder that every one’s prayers and financial support is the main reason that this day, and many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many more were possible.
So continue to pray. This boy has a lot of ‘livin’ left in him.
His back story is here
It was in my head for days…
The wedding of Brian and Lee’s was a blast.
It was held at the Tendenza in Northern Liberties.
It had everything from a homeless guy crashing the ceremony to a beer run, and even a few of the guests were bartending by the end of the night. But the most memorable moment by far was the chant that didn’t leave my head for days. “Lee…Mcgee…Lee…McGee…Lee…Mcgee….it does have a ring to it. Here are some pictures here!
i CAN do more
On Saturday, I headed to CHOP to shoot TREY LOVE, a young boy with cancer. Right after shooting Trey I had a wedding to shoot in the city. So I left 3 hours before I was due at the wedding, thinking this is plenty of time to shoot TREY’s pictures.
Long story short, and three accidents later on 76, I only got 25 minutes with him (and the other 14 people in the small hospital room). So it wasn’t the ideal situation for being creative. But I wanted to do the best I could for the LOVE’s.
A few of the pictures turned out. But wasn’t happy with the video I shot at all. So I just planned to give the footage to the Loves when they got home and never edit it into anything.
But then on Monday night I got a ton of Facebook inbox messages, from people I barely know or don’t know at all, saying “how inspired and amazed at what I was doing.” Which is weird, cause I don’t think our family is doing enough. But that was enough for me to push through being sick and tired to work on this. Because I know in my heart of hearts, if my wife and I were going through this, WE COULD NOT WORK. Or get out of bed for that matter. Mike and Missy are so strong!
So that night after everyone went to bed I cut this video together in a few hours. Because It’s not about me, It’s about Trey.
The best part about this story is the end. Trey saw the video, and it made him happy. And me, well, it made me feel like I had purpose in life, even if for only a few moments.
HOW CAN I DO MORE
Having kids of my own has really changed me, and the way I look at the world. So ever since Sunday I have had this driving question pulsating inside my head. “How can I do more?”. “How can I do more?”
After an explosion of guests to my website over the last couple of days. They were all looking to buy pictures to help support Trey Love. But only a small fraction of those guests who visited me purchased (thanks BTW to all who purchased), which lead me into a deep depressed state about my skill level as a photographer. The self doubts and insecurities came rolling in. But then I realized something that helped me snap out of the funk. IT’S NOT ABOUT ME.
So wanting to add more money to TREY LOVE Donation, even if just a few more dollars. I had an idea. Step out of my comfort zone and get passed the self doubt. Do something different.
So last night, when everyone went to bed. I gather a few things that are staples around our house:
Wine: It flows from our faucet.
Coffee: Yeah, we drink way to much.
Fruit:Our Kids love it. (i don’t eat enough).
And Spice, never enough…
And I tried to make a few pictures that were more “commercial” for TREY’s sake. I lowered the prices on these pictures, so people on a tighter budgets could still “have some skin in the game”.
Hope you will visit the TREY LOVE gallery here and see more of the pictures I took last night to benefit this sick little boy. And pass it along, everyone has some space to fill on their walls.
BUT MAINLY BECAUSE TREY WILL GET 100% of the money you spend ( excluding shipping)
If you need more of reason to HELP, then Please watch this video I did for Trey two years ago to help raise awareness. Or this one, about the power of prayer
It’s Been Awhile
With my crazy schedule, blogging has fallen by the waist side. But I wanted to put up a few things I have been working on.

At this wedding I had a blast. Paul and Mariana family came from all parts of the globe and made for one hell of a party. See some of the pictures here.
John and Jessica
John and Jessica are a great looking couple. And they were very into getting great pictures so they were on board for any of my ideas. Everything took place at French Creek Country Club, which was a beautiful place. See some of the pictures here.
